Diploma in Accounting

Programme Objective

  • Explain the role of accounting in private and public sector organisations.
  • Identify financial and non- financial information in assisting decision making process and preparing tax computation, audit process and finance function.
  • Prepare full set of accounting, costing and management accounting for sole proprietorship, partnership and companies
  • Communicate effectively both in written and spoken with the management team and other professional bodies.
  • Understand and commit professionally, ethically and with human responsibility, in line with the accounting standards.
  • Recognise the need to engage in life-long learning and in professional development.
  • Motivate and enhance managerial and entrepreneurial skills for career development.
  • Solve accounting and finance functions individually or in teams effectively, with a capability to be a leader.

Courses

Entry Requirement

  1. STPM : A minimum of Grade C (GP2.0) in any subject; and credit in Mathematics & pass in English at SPM; OR
  2. SPM / O-levels : 3 Credits (Including Mathematics & a pass in English); OR
  3. UEC : 3 Bs (Including Mathematics & a pass in English); OR
  4. STAM : A minimum grade of Maqbul; and credits including Mathematics & a pass in English at SPM Level.; OR
  5. At SKM : A pass in Level 3 in related field; and a pass in SPM with minimum of 1 credit in any subject with credit in Mathematics & a pass in English; OR
  6. A pass in relevant certificate (MQF Level 3) from recognised institutions; OR
  7. Any other equivalent recognised qualifications by the Government of Malaysia
